If you have no experience of injecting, we know that the thought of a practical session can be quite daunting. Equinox Training offer the opportunity to complete the first practical stage using Silicon face model (manikin).
After that, the opportunity to progress onto model clients is offered. We understand that hands on experience is the most effective way to build your knowledge and confidence, that is why we provide the opportunity to practice on both.

Anatomy knowledge is important to practice safely and confidently. Understanding the different muscles, underlying soft tissue, vasculature and nerves are of utmost importance in guiding your aesthetic practice.
The Anatomy for This program comprises of comprehensive anatomical theory for beginner and experienced injectors alike, which is meant to complement hands-on injecting experience.

Wrinkle Relaxer: The Basics
The course focuses on basic facial anatomy and laying the right groundwork for anti-winkle injections. The course cover beginner areas (frown lines, forehead, crow’s feet, masseter). You will also learn about emergency protocols, possible complications and how to avoid them.

Wrinkle Relaxer: Advanced
Advanced course is aimed at practitioners who have completed our Basic Neurotoxins course and would like to extend their skills to treating advanced level areas of the face.
Your trainer will use their experience to answer your questions, guide you to mastering these advanced procedures and give you the confidence to increase your scope of practice and ultimately your business.

Dermal Filler: The Basics
The course focuses on basic facial anatomy and laying the right groundwork for administrating dermal fillers. This course focuses on the treatment of the cheeks and lips as these are the two most requested treatments.

Dermal Fillers: Advanced
After mastering the basics, you can choose to upskill and expand your scope of practice. At Equinox Aesthetic Academy, we offer courses in advanced injecting over:
- Tear troughs
- Nasolabial folds
- Marionette lines
- Chin
- Jawline
These areas are defined as advanced as significant risk of vascular compromise and poor aesthetic outcome if the treatments are carried out incorrectly.
Course participants can select either up to 2 different areas for the course. This allows for more dedicated time to gain confidence in performing the treatment. This course will enable participants to treat and address concerns allowing for a more holistic aesthetic approach.
This course is aimed at:

Participants must either have completed “Wrinkle Relaxers: The Basics” or equivalent qualifications and have had adequate injecting experience and understanding of facial anatomy.
COURSE OUTLINE:
- Understand facial anatomy relevant to intermediate level dermal filler injections.
- Learn techniques of using blunt cannulas and be familiar with the correct plane for filler deposition in each area.
- Be familiar with different methods using both needle and cannulas and be able to identify when to use them.
- Safely perform dermal filler injections in the, tear troughs, nasolabial folds or smokers line, jawline definition jaw, chin, sub-zygomatic area and marionette lines
- Be aware of danger areas when injecting in these areas and how to avoid complications.
Dermal Fillers (Bundle)
This course is ideal for those professionals who are comfortable with conventional intra-dermal augmentation and wish to excel in the more complex facial areas in mid facial region. (Cheek bone enhancement, smokers line, jawline definition) Please note lip filler is not included in the advanced course.
COURSE OUTLINE:
- Learn techniques of using blunt cannulas and be familiar with the correct plane for filler deposition in each area.
- Be familiar with different methods using both cannulas and needle be able to identify when to use them.
- Safely perform dermal filler injections in the jaw, sub-zygomatic , chin, area and marionette lines
- Be aware of danger areas when injecting in these areas and how to avoid complications.
Advanced Dermal Fillers and Anti-Wrinkle Injection.
This course is ideal for Aesthetic Practitioners who have completed their Foundation Botulinum Toxin A and Dermal Fillers training who have a minimum of six months experience of treating clients. Delegates should be comfortable with the foundation techniques and ready to take their clinical skills to the advance level.

Due to the hands-on practical component of our course, the responsibility of sourcing models would fall on the course participant.
However, we do have a pool of models that can be used as a last resort.
Interested in becoming a cosmetic model to receive high quality treatment for a fraction of the cost on our training days!

Please note: all model appointments are strictly
- Open to above 18 years old.
- Not available for anyone who is breastfeeding or pregnant.
- Not available for Clients with active acne or rosacea, herpes (cold sores), skin infections or warts on the face will not be able to receive this treatment.
Please note: you should be well on the day of treatment.
Due to tight schedule and trainee requirements, we ask that all anti-wrinkles injection models have at least two or more of the “standard” treatment areas of wrinkle relaxer injections. These are horizontal lines on the forehead, “crow’s feet” at the corners of the eyes and frown lines between the eyebrows.
We request a deposit of full amount from all models when booking their session. This is not refundable if you do not reschedule your booking at least 7 days before or fail to attend your booked session.

Equinox Aesthetic Academy reserve the right to decline enrolment to any of its training courses.
We reserve the right to change or cancel planned training courses in terms of dates, locations, and course content. You will be notified at least 24 hours in advance of any changes. A full refund will be given in the event of cancelling our course or should you be unable to attend due to any changes we make.
Cancelling your training course booking
We understand that sometimes plans change and you may need to change your arrangements. Please read below to find out about our cancellation policy:
- All cancellations are to be made in writing to training@equinoxclinic.com and will incur a $50.00
administration fee. - Cancellations more than 4 weeks before your course date will incur loss of the non-refundable 50% deposit made at time of booking, plus a $50 administration fee.
- Cancellations less than 4 weeks before your course date are 100% non-refundable.
Please be aware that any participant arriving late to the course may not be able to participate in the course, this is at the educator’s discretion. In the event of this occurring no refunds will be made. We do not accept any liability for the cost of any travel expenses or hotel/accommodation or any other costs incurred by participants to attend our courses.

Upon booking, 50% of the course fee is due immediately and is non-refundable.
You are required to pay the remaining balance of your course at least 4 weeks prior to attending your training course.
An order confirmation confirming your place will be sent within 24 hours of payment/s being received. For bookings made less than 4 weeks prior to the course commencement date, payment is required in full at time of booking.
It is the delegate’s responsibility to ensure that the balance is paid in full at least 6 weeks before the course date. Failure to do so may result in your course place being cancelled, and any payment already made may be forfeited in line with our cancellation procedure.
